Aareon increases revenues in fiscal 2015

Aareon increased its revenues in 2015 and strengthened its market position. Digitalisation continued to form the focus of R&D activities, with the IT service provider expanding its portfolio of digital solutions and launching the digital ecosystem Aareon Smart World.

Mainz, 30 March 2016 – Aareon AG, Europe’s leading provider of systems and consulting services for the property industry, increased its revenues in fiscal 2015 by 5.2% to €186.9 million (previous year: €177.7 million). 

Apart from the ongoing refinement of its ERP solutions, the company is focusing on expanding its portfolio of digital solutions. “For several years now we have been concentrating on the digitalisation of the property industry and moving quickly to integrate forward-looking products and services into our portfolio,” explains Aareon CEO Dr. Manfred Alflen. “In the process, we have been benefiting from the international expertise available within the Aareon Group – after all, the pace of digitalisation is different in each country.” In fiscal 2015, Aareon launched Aareon Smart World, its new digital ecosystem. As Dr. Alflen explains: “With Aareon Smart World, we can help our clients make the most of the opportunities presented by the digital transformation: enabling them to cuts costs, optimise their processes and develop new business models.”

Aareon continued to grow organically in fiscal 2015, and also strengthened its presence at home and abroad with two acquisitions. On 1 October 2015, the company broadened its business activities in Germany to include the energy sector through the full acquisition of Bochum-based phi-Consulting GmbH. The acquisition of 100 percent of Square DMS Groep B.V., Grathem, a Netherlands-based company, on 1 October 2015 enabled Aareon to enhance Aareon Smart World in the Netherlands and Belgium through the addition of ShareWorX®, a case management solution that includes process consulting.

In Germany, both business volume and the number of productive migrations to the ERP solution Wodis Sigma grew. As had been expected, migrating customers prefer to use Wodis Sigma as a service from the exclusive Aareon Cloud. The company recorded a substantial increase in consulting and maintenance business for SAP® solutions and Blue Eagle. As far as international business is concerned, country-specific ERP solutions were in demand, and demand for Aareon Smart World digital solutions continued to rise in all markets.

“We made key investments in 2015 and want to continue the digitalisation process in 2016,” says Dr. Alflen, with an eye to the future. “To this end, we will utilise our good relationships with customers and draw on the day-to-day dialogue we enjoy with them.”
