The Aareon success story continues

Revenues and EBIT again higher International market presence enhanced New products launched for the trending topic of digitalisation

Mainz, Germany, 7 April 2014 – Aareon AG, Europe’s leading provider of systems and consulting services for the property industry, continued to grow in fiscal 2013, with EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) rising by 3.0% to €27.1 million (previous year: €26.3 million). Consolidated revenues rose by 5.0% to €173.4 million (previous year: €165.2 million). The proportion of consolidated revenues accounted for by international business rose yet again to reach 30.9% or almost one-third (previous year: 28.7%) The positive business trend is a reflection of
Aareon’s growth strategy, with its focus on internationalisation and digitalisation.

In fiscal 2013, Aareon invested in strengthening its market position in Europe. Effective July 1, 2013, Aareon acquired a 100% stake in Swedish company Incit AB, which also has subsidiaries in Norway and the Netherlands. The acquisition gave Aareon a presence in the Scandinavian market, an important one for the property industry, and the company is now active at 27 locations across six European countries.

The company’s research and development activities were focused on expanding its portfolio of digitalisation-related products. In fiscal 2013, Aareon launched its digital archiving solution “Archiv kompakt” in Germany, “Aareon CRM” for customer relationship management, and the mobile property inspection function for the ERP solution Wodis Sigma Release 5. Wodis Sigma continues to grow in popularity, especially when offered as a service from the exclusive Aareon Cloud. By late 2013, over 500 customers had already opted for this system. The CRM solutions of the company’s French subsidiary, Aareon France SAS, continued to find favour with customers, as did the mobile services offered by the UK subsidiary 1st Touch Ltd.  All in all, in 2013 Aareon’s international business continued along the successful path of the previous year.

After ten successful years, Aareon decided in early 2013 to renew its partnership with SAP. In the market for SAP® solutions there was particular demand for Aareon consulting solutions for SAP®. The upgrade to Release 6.3 of the Blue Eagle Standard ERP system took place as planned in April.

“The business trend in 2013 underscores the sustainability of Aareon’s strategy of profitable long-term growth,” says Dr. Manfred Alflen, Chairman of the Management Board of Aareon AG. “In 2014 the focus of our development activities will remain on the trending topic of digitalisation and we will continue adding corresponding products to Aareon’s portfolio. The Aareon Group’s international presence will be a key factor in this because our cross-border partnerships allow us to leverage expertise and tap synergies for the benefit of individual products and services at national level.”
