Stable 2014 financial year for Aareon

Given the digital transformation process that is changing society and the economy, investments focused on the topic of digitalisation and internationalisation

Mainz, Germany, 27 March 2015 – Aareon, Europe’s leading provider of systems and consulting services for the property industry, recorded a stable 2014 financial year. The company achieved a slight, 2.8 % increase in consolidated revenues, which reached €177.7 million. The International Business segment contributed 33.9% to consolidated revenues (previous year: 31.0%). At €26.5 million, earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were almost on a par with the previous year (€27.1 million). “In order to keep the company on its growth trajectory and set the right course for the future, we spent a large amount of capital on expanding our portfolio of digital solutions for the housing industry and making the Aareon Group more international,” said Dr Manfred Alflen, CEO of Aareon AG. Given the digital transformation process that is changing society and the economy, investments focused on the topic of digitalisation. “We are helping the housing industry to make the most of the opportunities offered by digitalisation. Among other innovations, we have developed a vision for linking up participants in a digital ecosystem: Aareon Smart World,” continued Dr Alflen. “That will make it possible to reshape and optimise processes, cut costs, enhance revenues and achieve higher levels of comfort and convenience for customers and employees alike.”

In the ERP Products business segment, demand for the ERP solution Wodis Sigma continued to grow. By late 2014, some 600 customers had already opted for this system. This was around 20% more than in the previous year. Aareon is continuing its more than ten years of partnership with SAP. In May 2014, Aareon received SAP Partner status as a Value Added Reseller. This was in addition to its existing Service Partner status for consulting.

In the Integrated Services segment, there was good demand for existing digital IT solutions such as the Mareon service portal and insurance management from BauSecura, and in particular for the digital archive solution Aareon Archiv kompakt, which was launched in 2013. Aareon CRM, the digital solution for optimising customer relationships, was expanded and demand continued to grow.

Summing up the prospects for the current 2015 financial year, the company's CEO said, “Aareon is well positioned and we expect the strategic investments we have made in internationalisation and digitalisation to deliver a positive impact.”
