Hartmut Thomsen has been Chairman of the Management Board of Aareon AG since April 1, 2022. He previously worked for SAP for more than ten years, since June 2018 as President of the Middle- and Eastern Europe region. In this role, he had responsibility for sales and client activities in over 30 countries. Prior to that, Hartmut Thomsen was Chief Operating Officer and responsible for the development of cloud services in Middle- and Eastern Europe, and a long-time Managing Director of SAP Deutschland SE & Co. KG. As an expert in digital transformation, technologies and the market launch of products and solutions, he made a significant contribution to SAP's success. Before joining SAP, Hartmut Thomsen held management positions at IBM, Oracle and Siemens Nixdorf.

Born in northern Germany, he studied business administration in Frankfurt am Main, graduating with a degree in business administration. Hartmut Thomsen is married and father of three children.
