The trust of customers and business partners, shareholders and investors as well as employees is a prerequisite for the success of Aareal Bank Group. That is why Aareon AG and its subsidiaries are also committed to compliance-relevant behavior.
1. Code of Conduct
Aareon AG is a seventy percent subsidiary of Aareal Bank Group, Wiesbaden.
Aareal Bank Group's reputation is based on the fact that the conduct of each individual employee meets high ethical standards.
The Management Board of Aareal Bank has therefore adopted a Code of Conduct which forms the basis of Aareal Bank Group's business conduct.
Core values such as e.g. respectful interaction with each other, avoidance of conflicts of interest, fair and responsible business conduct are reflected in Aareal Bank Group's Code of Conduct.
The Management Board of Aareon AG has committed itself to this Code of Conduct in order to protect the integrity of Aareon AG, its business partners, customers and employees.
2. Code of Conduct for suppliers
Aareal Bank Group has imposed strict ethical rules on itself, which guide it in all its business. It has the same demands on its suppliers of products and services as it does on itself. When selecting suppliers, they evaluate not only economic performance but also ecological, social and ethical sustainability.
The Code of Conduct for Suppliers sets the standard for these business relationships in terms of responsibility for people and the environment. It is based on the principles of the United Nations Global Compact (UN Global Compact) and the principles of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
3. Whistleblowing System Aareon
Aareon is committed to rule-abiding behavior. Violations of applicable laws and codes of conduct must be detected and prevented.
With the establishment of a tool-based whistleblowing system, Aareon wants to give its employees, its customers and service providers as well as other external persons the opportunity to point out possible violations of the law. All information will be treated confidentially!
The recipient of the notification is the central compliance function of the Aareon Group. Further proper processing of the report is coordinated by the central compliance function.
To report a compliance-relevant violation of the law, you can use the following reporting channels:

Aareon uses the cloud-based whistleblowing system of the German provider LegalTegrity with a data center in Germany. Information can be reported anonymously or not anonymously, by telephone or via the web portal.
